Research.
My work on classical reception centers the affective relationships developed by authors and the ancient authors of their imaginations. I study early modern and modernist lyric poetry, with a focus on intertextuality, gender, and queer theory.
Pedagogy.
A humane approach to learning and teaching that balances classroom community and affective engagement with the development of practical skills to aid in reading, writing, and executive function.
